Finisher shirt Friday

image

Governor Mark Dayton declared today “Finisher shirt Friday” so myself and a few co workers decided to get in on the fun.  I figure, the more fitness minded people I surround myself with, the better it’ll be.

Today’s tracking was great. I hit the target for all of my macro nutrients. I’m having withdrawals from sweets, though. Today I had very little in the way of refined sugar, and I had massive cravings, got flushed in the face, and developed a headache… But I didn’t give in.  I was at a manager’s desk. I had grabbed a jar of Hershey kisses and pulled one out. I said to myself “what am I doing,” and put it back.  Even though I was still talking to the manager, I decided to start cutting up a green pepper and eating that instead.  Woo! Will power.

Nope. None for me, thanks!

I’m determined to get back to my Warrior self.

RE-BOOT! – MegsFitness Photo Tracker consolidating with MegsFitness (Blog)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It’s time for a reboot 🙂  I’ve been blogging really heavily over at the MegsFitness Photo Tracker and I’ve got a lot of “followers” over there.  The problem?  I’m not writing here any more and I really miss writing about more than just food.

From day one, this blog has been about ME (thus, the tag line “and then there’s me…”) and it’s time to get back to that.

Branching off to a sub-blog was a good idea at the time, because I thought it’d be a good way to keep track of what I’m eating.  It’s been doing that, and I’ve developed the habit that if I’m going to photograph it, it should look good.  Generally, I’ve noticed that food doesn’t LOOK good if there aren’t freggies included.  That inspires me to include fruits and vegetables in my shots where possible, or to include the raw ingredients (as in the eggs pic in the gallery, above).

I don’t want to overload your inbox, so as we go along, if the posts are too frequent, feel free to adjust your delivery status.  WordPress allows you to get the posts immediately, once per day, or once per week.  All you have to do is go to your notifications and change your preferences.  If you’re a WordPress user, just go to https://wordpress.com/settings/subs-delivery/ to adjust your preferences.

The plan (in as much as I really follow plans) is to post exclusively here 🙂 You’ll get my sweets and sweats, things I’m studying/learning in school, and yes, even gaming updates… (If you play Hearthstone, add me!  Aminarra#1211)

P.S. My latest bit of news is that I upgraded my phone–and I shopped with this blog specifically in mind.  I bought an HTC One – it’s got a LOT of fancy camera features, and it takes much better photos than my previous phone (Droid Razr):

Enter, enter, the first of November…

I can’t believe I left this blog hanging with my horribly embarrassing story about my trip to Arby’s.  *hangs head in shame*

It kind of makes my Nov 1st declaration ring hollow.  I have a size 14 dress in my closet right now that I can’t wear.  It’s a gorgeous gray number…

I’ve got another one whose size I don’t even know that I can’t wear right now, nor ever.  It’s been my goal dress for 3 years, now…

I never felt completely confident in this one

So, I’m just done.  I’m tired of being tired.  Since the clocks just shifted back, it should be a lot easier to wake up at 6am… since my body feels like it’s 7am, after all. 🙂  I’m going to use my time wisely and exercise in the a.m. again.

Day: [insert number here]

I’ve started over too many times to count. Another way of looking at it is that I’ve never quit, but just lowered the intensity. A lot. For a while. Today, I woke up after less than 5 hours of sleep. After snuggling Taz and Jeff for a second, I sprang (sprung?) out of bed and into work out clothes. I have motivation and I’m not going to question it, I’m just going to use it. Off I go!
