Reset Button | Breakfast: Rolled Oats, Chia Seeds, and Excuses (Crosspost)

When I want to feel particularly healthy, I’ll have 1/2 cup rolled oats with a sprinkle of chia seeds and a dash of raisins.

Of course, it’s just as likely to make me er.. nevermind.

This week has been horrid.  We’ve had fast food every night.  Y’all, I even ate MCDONALDS on Wednesday.  What kind of processed crap is that?!

blech.

The good news is that we don’t have to wait for a new year for a new start.  You can “start fresh” any time you realize you’re getting off track.  So, first things first–confront excuses:

Our dishwasher has been broken, but, instead of just washing dishes by hand we just keep waiting for the repair man to show up.  It’s been over a week. -_-

This morning, after eating oatmeal with a fork, served in a measuring cup, I decided to try my hand at fixing the dish washer.  If it didn’t work, well, the repair man is scheduled (again) to come today.  And if that doesn’t work, I used the old “no excuses!” line with the hub-ster and we’ll wash them all by hand tonight.
